Pixar Presto

Presto is a short produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by a former Pixar animator, Doug Sweetland, this short was nominated for an Annie Award and an Academy Award in 2009.

The action doesn't take place in a specific location, but everything happens in a theatre, on a stage where a magician did his performance.

This short was originally thought differently than the final result. The idea was about a magic act including a magician and a stage fright rabbit, but they changed the short's actions to something funnier and far more entertaining.
Vaudeville-era magician Presto DiGiotagione is famous for a hat trick where he pulls his rabbit, Alec Azam, out of his top hat. The short talks about the revenge of an unfeeded rabbit against his master, who only uses Alec for his acts, and always forgets to feed the poor animal. The rabbit obtains something more than his initial revenge, something unexpected by everyone. He achieves by accident to create a special bond between the both of them, and make a greater show.

I saw lots of shorts before deciding which one I'll write about, but this one was the only one which truly made me laugh. It's funny, entertainig, and it has it all. In my opinion is one the best short ever made. What I liked the most was those amusing moments of both, they make a great team.

Here you have the amazing short, Presto:

Graduation day

That night the entire town was having a party. They were celebrating the graduated students. It was a small town, everyone knew everyone, and everyone was friend with everyone.

Eight hours ago, before their darkest night, every single one of them were trying clothes to attend to the graduation ceremony. All went well until one of the banquet's student stabbed his grandfather in the neck with a fork. The kid's bones start to break slowly and he started runnig through the croud. He started to rip and lacerate everyone. A lot of blood was spilled, but it wasn't going to stop right there, it was just the start. The people left locked that kid in the facility and then they got out screaming and crying.

They gathered at the city hall and tried to call the police, but all the comunications were down. Minutes after, there was a shadow that approached really quickly. He ran like a monkey ,the people was terrified. In ten minutes that thing, that was no more a boy, managed to kill everyone but four students. Their names were Lilly, Mark, Jerry and Cindy. It was cold and it was dark. They ran as fast as they could, and they got to Mark's house. His father was a hunter, so he was in possession of some guns. He gave one to everyone, and then some more weapons of his father's garage. There was no way they could get out of the town without being found, so their only option was to try to survive until the morning.

Three of them fell asleep but Jerry didn't want to. Suddenly strange noises came from outside. They all woke up and checked out the house and outside the house. It was an army of them ,of those hideous creatures. They were sorrounded but Cindy foud a way to escape, through the basement. They all got in a dirty tunnel with no light and wet. After 16 meters of crawling, Cindy was attacked by one of those monsters, they were moving fast, they had white eyes and slime falling out of their mouth. She was so scared that the adrenaline gave her strengh to put a bullet in that thing's head, then Lilly shot him too. They prepared to receive more of them but instead, worms and spiders came from the dirt of the tunnel. It was too late for Jerry, but the others achieved to save themselves. When they finally got out, there were only two hours left until the sunrise.

Mark, the only boy left, stole a car. They started driving, but suddenly some claws started to scratch the doors, and the windows, and Mark lost the control of the car. They crashed, and these invisible claws scratched all Mark's skin until it ripped his heart of his chest. Cindy and Lilly set a fire and kept the claws away. Bust just then, a bunch of angry monsters ran towards them, because slowly the sun was starting to rise, and they were looking for dark spots. The girls took another car and started to run down every single one of them, Cindy was driving, and Lilly was shooting. At the end they both got through the night alive. They tried to explain the police what happened that night but they would never believe them, even if everyone ended dissapeared. They remained together but never went back to the town. Even so every night after that day, both of them still hear those claws scratching  the walls.

Trip To France

This photo was taken by me in spring 2014. It shows the river Rhône, in France. I took this photo while I was on a trip to France with all the French students of Can Planas of ninth grade, and latin students of tenth grade.

We went to Avignon, France, and Arles. It was a five hour trip. Then the teachers let us walk thru Arles, until eight PM if I remember correctly. Then we went to this pension where we had dinner and spend the night. In the next morning we had breakfast and while we were on our way to Avignon, I saw this beautiful river and I took several photos, from down there and from the top of the bridge.

In the picture you can see the river Rhône, and above it a big bridge. On the right of the river you can see a sidewalk and some bikes, but on the left side there was the city. It looked like a medieval city. It was a really beautiful day.

I chose this photo because I like it very much. The colours in the photo are so bright and I love the intense blue of the water and the green of the grass. The photo reminds me of the great time I had with my friends in France and the great moments we spent together.
